The retreat is followed up with a 60-minute 1-2-1 coaching call with Gilly or a member of the coaching team.

Who is Gilly Thompson?


Hi I’m Gilly and I’m on a mission to ensure everyone has access to great leadership, I spent much of my early career in several of the top FTSE100 companies including BT, Railtrack and Marks and Spencer, where I led teams in many of the core functions of the business.

I made every leadership mistake there was to make in my early leadership so I understand the complexities which leaders have working with people across functions, locations and levels can bring. I have had first-hand experience of working in high-performing teams and delivering exceptional results .

I have been an Executive Coach for seven years and I am a member of the EMCC.


I work with Manchester Metropolitan University as a mentor on the Help to Grow Scheme and work with leaders to strengthen their performance and leadership skills.

I have a natural training style developed from my leadership roles and my coaching style might be described as inspiring, honest, open and direct, curious and respectful, with humour, energy and empathy.

I hold a Leadership and Management Associate Degree and a Masters Degree in Executive Coaching with the Institute of Leadership and Management, I am also a certified DiSC behavioural profiling trainer resulting in an understanding of behavioural, strategic and tactical elements of leadership.

Who Is Angela Hodgson?


Hi, I’m Angela, and I’m all about helping leaders grow into the best versions of themselves while making a positive impact on those around them.

I’ve had the chance to lead change and strategy at companies like Bentley, Porsche and Jaguar Land Rover, where I turned struggling teams into passionate, high-performing ones.

For the last 5 years, I’ve been working with SMEs across various industries, coaching execs to inspire their teams and achieve amazing results. I love the fast pace and creativity that comes with these businesses.

I’m also proud to play a role in shaping future leaders through my work with Manchester Metropolitan University and Leeds University Business School.

With a first-class degree in Business and a postgrad diploma in Business Improvement, I’m all about using my expertise to help solve tough problems with simple, effective solutions.

4pm. Conclude Retreat Masterclass Day One

We will conclude day one with an understanding of the actions you will need to implement the day's learning. Enjoy time in the spa or have a round of golf before cocktail-making and dinner.

7pm. Join us for a cocktail-making masterclass

8pm - Private Dinner Join us for a private 3-course a la carte dinner.

Tuesday 22nd

Join us for day two of The Visionary Leaders Retreat.

Please arrive at 8.45am so we can begin the masterclass promptly.
